(9) Netflix ☀ Sintonia's (22) ⚯ Chromed Wrap ⚿

To launch the new season of Netflix´s Sintonia, a Brazillian series about life in the hood, we created a collection of chromed car wraps inspired by favela´s iconic mirrored shades.

As the most watched Brazilian series on Netflix, Sintonia represents some of Sao Paulo's favela culture and has a unique aesthetic style known for its iconic mirrored sunglasses like the Oakley Juliet. These cultural elements inspired the customization of regular vehicles into a chromed car and motorcycle, well known as a consuming dream of the community's young people. Turning it into a "nave chavosa," which means a badass, and swagged vehicle in Brazilian slang. The campaign featured only real favela's young and diverse people in the casting, alongside a well-known photographer from the Brazilian funk scene and culture editorials – Amanda Adasz.

These stylish vehicles were listed in a giveaway to create buzz among the audience. In the first week, it became the most liked and commented content on Netflix Brazil's Instagram history, with more than 230k interactions. Most importantly, it started a conversation about how this new aesthetic, once marginalized, became a symbol of authenticity and community belonging, all together with Brazil's funk cultural scene.
